Splenda Chat

Coming soon... a Splenda chatroom where you discuss the benefits and drawbacks of sucralose consumption with other Splenda users.

On 27 February 2006, we received this note from C.B. concerning their use of sucralose.
"I am 49-years old.

I have consumed ten packs of Splenda a day for the past five years. In 2002, I started having severe nausea, excrutiating pain in my abdomen, extreme sleeplessness, and forgetfulness. I have had numerous blood tests, endoscopies, colonoscopies, etc. This does not show up on any test.

By January 2005, I could not stand up. By March, I felt death coming. I found out on March 15, 2005, about Splenda.

It has been almost a year and I am still in severe pain, cannot focus, and am having problem with my esophagus.  I can't work. This is all due to Splenda.

This has been undetectable in most of my tests and might be irreversible. I think the only way to tell if you've been poisoned is to contact the health department and have your doctor send them a blood sample to be tested for chlorine testing.

I have incurred more than $60,000 in medical tests and expenses, and more than $7,000 for medications. I am losing my house over all of this. I worked all my life to earn what I have, and now I'm going to lose all of it. I have applied for Social Security Disability.

I think everyone who has suffered should report to the FDA. I think a lawsuit should be started. I pray for all those who have gone through what I have."

Thank you C.B. for sharing your story with our visitors.

If you have experienced any side effects, whether you are sure it is Splenda or not, be sure to speak with your physician and discuss all possibilities.
