(We hate asking, trust us!)

On 11 August 2006, we received this note from M.S. concerning their use of sucralose.
"I have worked in a Baltimore hospital for 25 years. I am in now way an alarmist.  I am not one to jump on conspiracy theories. I strongly believe Splenda could be fatal if used over a period of time. My symptoms were/are:
  • gradual weight gain (30 pounds over a few years)
  • severe edema
  • addiction to Diet Pepsi
  • extreme carbohydrate cravings
  • sexual dysfunction
  • eye flashes
  • marked hearing impairment
  • headaches
  • memory loss
  • drowsiness
  • numbing of limbs
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • shortness of breath
  • recent high blood pressure

I stopped using Splenda products. After just two weeks half of these symptoms decreased or disappeared."

Thank you M.S. for sharing your story with our visitors.

If you have experienced any side effects, whether you are sure it is Splenda or not, be sure to speak with your physician and discuss all possibilities.
