(We hate asking, trust us!)

On 11 August 2006, we received this note from J.L. of Palm Harbor, Florida, concerning their use of sucralose.
"I have been putting myself through a food allergy test to determine where my migraines and nasal congestion stem from. I have cut out dairy, wheat, yeast, and sweets to see how it affected me.

I had been a Splenda user for a while. I have come to the conclusion that Splenda causes my headaches. I thought it was yeast in breads and such. But, after cutting out Splenda and going back to all of the other foods I thought I was allergic to, it came down to the Splenda. I used one packet in a beverage, and the next day followed with a bad migraine and heavy nasal congestion.

I am convinced we have to go back to basics. If something does not grow, don't eat it. We can't live in a bubble the rest of our lives, but we can at least try and make the best of it. I hope all of you find solutions to your pain.

Many blessings."

Thank you J.L. for sharing your story with our visitors.

If you have experienced any side effects, whether you are sure it is Splenda or not, be sure to speak with your physician and discuss all possibilities.
